My grandpa was stationed in Malta for a while. I digress. I can't really tell if that's good or not, but they fact that the opposition group is abstaining is good, I guess.

Huh, that's curious. Malta is close to Sicily, which has more expansive gay rights than Italy, and an openly gay Governor.

I've always wanted to see Malta, Sicily, and some of the smaller islands round about that part of the Mediterranean.

    Congratulations Malta (!)
20th country in europe that allows it. And 10th that even allows adoption, right?!

But so embarassing for Germany and our government.
Even this catholic Malta made this move in the right direction and in Germany our chancellor Angela Merkel and her party still block any progress :bang:
This makes me so angry...:rolle: :tantrum:

Actually roughly 80% of the population didn't want the adoption part. A slightly smaller percentage were against the fact that civil unions granted the same rights as any heterosexual marriage, and there was a lot of resentment. The government however acted that way so as to garner votes.

Still though, regardless of their intentions, we have another one in :icon_bigg
