    Couple marries in UK

    Just a couple of weeks after the first same sex marriages took place in England and Wales, the first same sex Church wedding takes place. :slight_smile:

    In other news, the Queen has signed Scotlands same sex marriage bill into law, paving the way for the first weddings there very soon.

    No, it was the Metropolitan Community Church.

    The government put a block on the Church of England/Anglicans performing same sex marriages (much to my own dismay). If the Anglican Church wishes to perform same sex marriages in the future there will need to be a change in the Church' Canon Law. This builds up the pressure a little more though :slight_smile:
