I agree with the district judge. Clearly a satirical motion from someone trying to be a jackass while opposing marriage equality.

I agree with the district judge as well. And while I can't judge the man's motives, I have to think it is satirical.

When I read the article, I for some reason saw, "server would like to marry this computer."
It is ridiculous that an inanimate object is included in the argument for marriage.

From the article: This lawsuit challenges Florida's refusal to recognize gay marriages from other states.

Chris Sevier, however, insists that this lawsuit needs his intervention on behalf of "other minority sexual orientation groups." He equates his thought process to gay couples having "the right to marry their object of sexual desire, even if they lack corresponding sexual parts."

A couple of problems with his argument. One, inanimate objects like computers don't have free will (so far) Also, when I had same sex lovers, we didn't need penetration to orgasm, our parts corresponded just fine. Not that orgasm is a requirement for marriage anyway. If that was the case, a lot of straight women would be in trouble, from what they tell me :lol

I was reading the article hoping that the judge actually used the word jackass in his response.

He can't marry his computer, because his computer can't consent. If he's having sex with his computer, he's committing an act of rape and needs to be arrested.

How do you like that logic, Chris Sevier?

I just heard it on the news this morning. According to Turkish channel, this guy is also a lawyer himself.

A little google search also showed he is out right creepy...

Maybe it is just me but I think this guy should be in a mental faculty.

I'm not going to speak one way or another to whether this guy should be taken seriously or not, but falling in love with/being attracted to inanimate objects is a real thing.

A woman once married the berlin wall, and another woman married the eiffel tower. I can't remember the psychological term for it right now, but it's happened in the past. Weird, but true.
