Magician prankster Magic of Rahat helped a homeless man in his neighborhood named Eric when he gave him a fake lottery ticket that he was able to redeem for $1,000. Eric was so touched in the emotional video that he offered to give Rahat back some of the money.

That led Rahat and his fans to want to do more, so they all chipped in and got him a place to live in Rahat's latest video.

The first video was uploaded in March and received more than 15 million hits on YouTube, and fans asked the prankster how they could help. So Rahat set up a Fundly site and raised more than $46,000 from nearly 3,000 donors by Thursday morning.

"I want … to help better and improve Eric's lifestyle," Rahat said on the website. "Eric is an extremely genuine person, and he deserves a lot more in life for his heart-warming personality."

The money will pay Eric's rent and expenses for a year as well as furnish the house. There is also more than $20,000 left that Rahat put in a bank account for Eric that he could monitor.
