Very well-written. I'm seriously considering e-mailing this to my mom (anonymously). Anyways, I thought I would share this with everyone. Enjoy.

P.S. This line: "God is not for the privileged majority, and God knows my son has committed no sin." gave me the chills.

That is probably the most fantastic and well written rebuttal to some peoples homophobic views that I have read recently, or perhaps ever.

That woman's son is very very lucky to have a mother such as her. I'd love to be able to contact her somehow and tell her how awesome she is

    Thanks for posting that!

  4. Omg that's amazing. It sounds like something my mom would write.

Whoa- that's quite a letter! I'm really impressed by how much love went into that. It has the perfect ending, too.

That was an amazing letter. That young man is lucky to have had such a supportive mother, who actually realized what sort of hell being gay and living in Vermont really is. I hope there were some replies, and I would have loved to see the looks on the peoples faces to whom she was aiming it towards!

It's... beautiful... :tears: I told myself I wasn't going to cry.

  10. Thats really cool. I would be exceptionally proud of my mother if she posted that, not that we can really expect any such miracle lol. But yeah, that's a model mother in my opinion, i think that that it the epitamy of acceptance, the son must feel brilliant to get such a positive message from his mom.

Also, the letter is creatively bitchy in places, some underhand digs in there. Very well done madam.

She could give many people in society a lesson in acceptance of cultural difference and indivualism.

It is acts like this that give me hope.
Hope that all the deaths you hear so much about will be a sobering part of our past.

Perhaps the best line of the piece.
