Went to go buy a pack of cigarettes this morning and this was the front page of the local paper (apparently they reprinted it word for word with a different picture). Arkansas legislators OK statement on gay marriage - SFGate

When are these lawmakers going to figure out that these cases will continue to climb the judicial ladder until they are ruled unconstitutional by a court that cannot be overturned. I went to the pride parade in Fayetteville, Ar last weekend and the lady who is the lawyer for the lgbt rights spoke at the short rally that followed. She said she went about it through the state level courts because the way the state constitution is worded the law is unconstitutional at the state level and it would expedite the process, but she is more than willing to go to the federal supreme court level if she has to.

What a useless waste of time. They love to rile up uninformed people with crap like this, ""There is no branch of this government that's more important than the people," Rapert said. Separately, Rapert has called for Piazza's impeachment." They keep pushing this lie that anything can be put to a popular vote and the result should be off limits to the judicial branch, which is an actual branch of our government whereas "the people" is not. Everything they say is filled with lies and more lies.

The funniest thing is that banning same-sex marriage is unconstitutional.

The so-called inalienable rights that were mentioned in the Declaration of Independence were, in fact, life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Marriage is a pursuit of happiness.

    Inalienable rights, my ass!
