That's not at all likely to cause an uproar. [/sarcasm] They are following the letter of the law, but at least that one guy sees it's crap. The city is losing money and reputation, so I see this one turning around fast.

Every time this comes up I have to ask "So does a single parent with kids count as a family?" and it appears it doesn't with the current wording. At least they're looking into changing their policy.

It looks like the policy is going to be changed. On my local news, they admitted that the policy was outdated.

This is so sad to see, but at least they are willing to change the policy and admitted that it was outdated.

I hope that doesn't happen to my future wife and kids. People are idiots sometimes.

This just blew my mind. Looks like I'll be going to another pool, preferably not in Ohio.

Speaking as an Ohioan, I'm going to stick up for us (slightly). Ohio is not the most progressive place in the world, but I like to consider us one of the leaders of the midwest.

We knew when Governor Kasich's desire to quash the public sector unions was rubbish, and batted it down.

In the ten years since the same sex marriage ban of 2004 passed by an overwhelming majority, Ohioans now poll as in favor of ditching the amendment.

So know, we don't lead the way, but we do often help turn the tide.
