LGBT News Nash Grier kisses gay fan in attempt to make up for homophobic slur

im not so sure about "forgiveness" i think he should either stay out of the light for a while or really try and make up for it

 

He'll get my apology when he makes an actual video apologizing to those he has offended. It doesn't even have to be that long, either, he can just say he's sorry.

 

Even if he does formally apologise, I don't think I'll believe that it's true repentance, nor will it make up for other things he has done.

But an apology would be a start, not just on this issue.

 

I don't get how he got the idea that kissing someone would make up for it. In his case, a heart-felt apology and action would be appropriate although, everyone will still question if he's being genuine.
Plus, the guy he kissed didn't even look like he wanted to kiss him :x

 

That is not an apology. this piece of trash should make a real apology to his followers. He is not only homophobic but also racist and sexist. I don't think he should be having any fame at all.

 

Serious? If he wants to make an apology, volunteer himself to work with LGBT organization. Flashy show off without substance doesn't mean a damn thing.

ehhh that doesn't justify anything. anyone could do that, even if it's on a whim of a dare. if he wants to feel apologetic and truly feels regretful for it, he should consider something else. what Raindreamer said, volunteer or work with an LGBT organization. or work with a campaign that helps LGBT community in a positive way.

 

I don't get it. What possible thought process leads to the conclusion that gay kiss = apology? This is just Batman Logic to the extreme. That and he looks so much more enthusiastic about the kiss than the guy. I'm wondering if this whole thing is just an overly complicated scheme to get to this point and kiss a guy scott-free. That honestly makes more sense to me.

 

He's just doing everything for controversy. His 15 minutes will fade soon.

I had no idea who this guy was until the controversy broke. Basically, in a nutshell, he's milking it. This is just a stunt for more attention and followers. It's insulting, because it's a cynical ploy using gay people as props: "OMGZ. Nash Grier kissed a guy! *click, watch*"

Agreed. After Jonah Hill used a homophobic slur against paparazzi, he apologized on The Tonight Show. I could tell from watching that he was genuinely sorry.

However, something tells me that Grier isn't the type of person who wouldn't bother issuing an apology...

As others have said, doing something like volunteering his time at an LGBT organization would be a good form of apology. Taking all of five seconds to kiss a random guy is not an apology at all...

 

Exactly! It's not like he was consciously thinking that before he came to the game "I want to kiss a guy in order to make up for what I did and said." It wasn't preconceived. He was just like "oh, well, I'll do it for the sake of it, even though I won't like it." Either he goes to volunteer somewhere so he can enlighten himself a little more or give out a heartfelt apology.

 

Eww no, I find him unattractive especially after seeing him in those pictures with Justin Bieder.

Also I think he was into that kiss, he just wanted an excuse to kiss a guy, genius.
