While interesting, I think it should better be left for the players to role play that part. XP

This is rather interesting (although I don't play the game myself). Very nice, nevertheless. I just hope that this will catch onto other games like the Sims .

Good point. I would like to be able to define my Sims to a certain sexual orientation rather than just hope other Sims will return my feelings :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

By how they phrase things, it's kind of clear they don't know the ends and outs of LGBT issues, but it's nice that they're trying. Double nice because I like Dungeons and Dragons.

Unfortunately, it'll have to do more to shake my loyalty to 3.5 edition. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

I agree, if its the tabletop game then u roleplay it anyway ...
If its in computer games it might help to have those extra conversations though

I feel that this isn't really needed for the game but it's nice to see them implement it, who know maybe it will become the norm in RPGs.

It'll be legit when they put 'Orientation' on the character sheet.

Awesome! And i was already feeling nostalgic about playing D&D.

It might not be necessary for the game, but visibility is necessary for LGBT people. I was trying to convince myself not to buy the basic books...damn it!

I love the 3.5 edition but this makes me so happy! I may just have to try the new edition or at least buy it because of this.

It looks like they didn't provide rules for it, but they did include us in the description suggestions. I am glad they took this approach. Having rules would have been a prime time for trite or ugly stereotypes to be rehearsed. Instead, they chose to say "look, here are some realities about gender and sexuality variance that you might consider while roleplaying."

Glad they only encourage it and don't relate it to stat boosts or anything. When I first read the title I thought that they had started attaching numbers to gender identification and sexual inclination. I wonder how this will play out in the gaming community as a whole. Hopefully it garners support and is accepted by the masses. I also hope it will also shift players and DM's away from using gender identification and sexual orientation as a joke, I have seen that happen far to often for my liking. I might even try this new edition.....

Hmm I wonder if that means "Book of Erotic Fantasy" now will become official supplement. Fingers crossed for official Orgasmic Vibrations spell.

D&D always been an open game to live your fantasies so while change is good, it is kinda unneccessary.

    Can't you hear the sounds?
I was already half way into reading the DM guide for 4e.
Maybe I can just incorporate some 5e elements in there and call it 4.5. :icon_wink
