    Yeah, these kinds of things suck. The man that did this had a large criminal record though, so I have a feeling that he is going to be behind bars for a while. He'll be behind bars even longer if he is convicted of a hate crime.

    It's heartbreaking. But I'm just glad her injuries are non-life threatening and that she's okay.

    That's very sad. I work about one mile from the Green Line Metro. It goes to show that even in very 'liberal' places, such as DC, and NYC, violence like this is still a threat. Fortunately, though, we have resources in place to help the victims, inasmuch as one can help.
