Not at all a fan of soccer, but Rogers is pretty damn sexy.

I'd probably watch soccer if he were playing while wearing nothing.

I remember being a little disappointed he came out only when he was retiring, but after seeing this video, I can better understand his reasonings. The interviewer's questions were a little irritating, but Robbie answered them all well and with class.

Ah, Jeremy Paxman, known for his rather aggressive interview techniques.

I felt his "when you discovered that your anxiety had been misplaced" comment was very patronizing. It does annoy me when straight people talk about coming out as a phobia, as some "irrational fear". Its not irrational - its perfectly rational given the systematic conditioning of homophobia an individual is presented from a very young age.

I overheard a straight girl mocking gay people who commit suicide saying "they are cowards, why can't they just come out, its not even that hard". Society may be reasonably accepting of openly gay people, but it is still very prejudiced against homosexuality as a general concept.

Couldnt agree with you more! I felt it was very ignorant and belittling of the enormous bravery it takes to come out.
