Actress Lauren Bacall dies at 89 - CNN.com For all of those Lauren Bacall fans or classic Hollywood fans out there. I'm saddened to see her gone, but happy for her participation in the Hollywood community. As a kid who watched Hollywood cinema with his father, I think that she was a really great actress, not to mention stunning, absolutely stunning back then! Damn horrible week, one of the absolute best. Her and Bogart had one of the best screen chemistry ever put together. My two favorite films of the '40's are theirs actually, The Big Sleep and Key Largo.
