    That's why I warned you guys ^_^; On the bright side, what they say doesn't matter. She's living a good life while being transgender and that's the point that I wanted to share with this article.

    Also, if it makes you feel any better(while feeling that there are some truly nasty people in the world), the comments are like this in every article, regardless of subject.

    I read the comments and couldn't help but relate to the person who said "SO?".

    I feel that if we as a LGBT group want to be accepted we should be equal in accomplishment and not above.

    Don't get me wrong, this does help spread awareness and I am very happy for her. But once society it fully content with the idea of LGBT people we need to cut off these types of announcements.

    The only comments that aren't transphobic are the ones saying she earns too much.

    The rest are horrific, and it would be no loss if those beasts were to go for a swim in a brick suit.

    We're not vaguely close. Those comments prove it for one, and the fact that being trans comes with a massive increase in your risk of poverty, murder, rape, imprisonment etc., shows that it's not nearly enough to have trans men and women in high positions.

    This kind of announcement can stop happening when nobody bats an eye at it. But that's not happening any time soon.
