    McDonald's applies to trademark the term 'McBrunch' - Sep. 10, 2014
    McDonalds has taken steps to copyright the word McBrunch, although they say there are no immediate plans to actually serve a brunch. I have a comment and a question.

    Why? It's already fine as it is! They do have in the wee hours of the morning a deal where you can order either breakfast or lunch/dinner items. If the sink ain't broken, don't fix it :dry:.

    Please people McDonalds is a lovely place where the employees always wash their hands, always get your order right, and the employees get paid well with amazing benefits.

    This could be a case of copyright protection too. Sometimes companies trademark terms so that other companies cannot use them. Or they will copyright them to lead people in the wrong direction while they are planning other things.

    Yeah, but it's so sketchy when they do that, just like how moments after Osama Bin Laden was killed, Disney went and trademarked the term "Seal Team Six."

    Wow! A lot of you folks really don't like Mickey D's very much! I can't say I'm a big fan either. And it may well be that they are just nailing down the copyright, just in case...

    Are you serious... Trademark "protection" has gotten too crazy at this point. Organizations that aren't run by the government shouldn't be allowed to trademark anything that's misleading to the public to the point that it makes it sound affiliated. Federal Express, Federal Reserve, and Seal Team Six should not be trademarked by anyone...
