LGBT News And now....homophobic ice cream shops

    For those that don't live in NYC, suffice it to say that Big Gay Ice Cream Shop is an institution. They started a few years ago as a food truck (which I think still operates) serving up unique ice cream creations. They then opened up some real, stationary shops, and business thrived. They've opened their second location in the West Village, which has a large gay population. And now, this:

    "Big STRAIGHT Ice Cream" Now Competing With Big Gay Ice Cream: Gothamist

    I like the tweet below, "vanilla with a side of homophobia". :slight_smile:

    I don't think it's so much homophobic, it said in the article it was down the street and would probably look funny to past like in the internet meme that has the okay diner next to the excellent diner (I can't post it due to reasons)

    This blows -_-. I hope that those abhorrent people (of the Big Straight Ice Cream) go out of business and wind up having to live among the birds on Governor's Island :bang:.

    Actually I think that the idea of the Straight Ice Cream is quite unpleasant and childish and give him so much attention is a bad idea.

    I don't think their being homophobic ,but they sure are being douche bags . Straight people can go any where can't they just let us have one damn ice cream shop where we can be gay and happy . They have straight ice cream places all over the damn place .

    Do they serve anything other than vanilla? It would be hilarious if you walked in and the menu was Classic Vanilla, French Vanilla, Vanilla Bean, etc. That would be epic, and I'd be okay with it. And suspect it was the same owners.
