Sad news... at the same time I hate to be right about situations like this. In here trans people (male to female) seen as objects more than human beings. They can only sell their bodies to survive and police forces arrest them whenever they desire to get bonus for their job. For any positive change people must start to see them as human beings first not freaks to be hated and hunted. There were several other occasions made me mad in the past, this one just another on the long list. If you think in Turkey, there are women murdered nearly daily basis because they are lower beings to men, children... especially female ones treated as objects and animals has no right to speak of... you can maybe undertand LGBT rights are not even close to be discussed. With each year this country dragged more and more close to religion based life style... it is frightening. Tho' government can take an u turn and do something about LGBT people to get "pink votes". Nothing's beyond their reach to use for their own gains. On last election run, according to news a rainbow flag has been seen on the first rows of (then prime minister) Erdogan. Funny thing is, last year one of his ministers claimed "homosexuality is a mental illness according to USA" during her speak in parlaiment. The USA research she mentioned dismissed by American Government during 70s. Maybe that will let you understand what kind of hell hole this place is for anyone different than their norms... each getting worse each day as well.
