I don't know... it feels kinda strange to me tbh. As cool as it would be to have a child that belongs to both me and my partner, i'd rather just accept the fact that two people of the same sex can't have children and leave it at that. Too many children in the world anyways. If this were possible in my lifetime, I would still rather adopt.

    Agreed

  10. I read an article a while back about how there was also some way to create eggs from men; my friend said if they succeeded that both of the sexes would split apart and live in their own society xD

I just hope they can do this without having kids with serious genetic disorders. I think this is totally great, but I have my worries. We don't have a great track record of genetically modifying things and having it turn out well.

Ohhh, I heard about that, too. It's called "Male Eggs". From what I hear, they've made good progress in the artificial uterus (If that's what it's called). So, I guess men and women won't be needing each other to mate in the future. I wonder what would happen if we decided to split into two societies at that point?

I agree. It would be wonderful, but it sounds like Star Trek-level tech, and I'm nervous what the actual results will be.

So far they've only been able to produce females yeah! (in mice) they're looking at how it could work to produce males

As much as I think this is wonderful for same sex female couples and indeed the LGBT community as a whole, It is also kind of scary in my humble opinion.
