    Yay! Now if we could only get gay marriage legalized :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

    The "gay panic" defense is definitely a bunch of bullshit and I'm glad to see legislation against it, especially in my state.

    Same sex marriage has been legal in California since 2013, when the Supreme Court ruled in Hollingsworth v Perry.

    They flip-flopped so much on it, I didn't even know :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: Granted I have only been here since starting college; I'm from Colorado originally, which allows "civil unions" but no same-sex marriage. I can't imagine their "gay panic" laws are any better...

    While this is excellent news, I would like you all to remember that you can help with your vote in the jury box.

    I know that most people hate jury duty, but if you're ever on one in a murder case, you can shit can this defense yourself.
