    Happy birthday to #39! I got a letter back from him last fall, as I had an assignment in a class to write a letter to someone that accomplished a goal you have in your lifetime (running for office) and so I figured I'd send it to him. Lo and behold, I got one back and he signed it himself.

    Oh! :grin: I have been to the town where he lives... Plains, Ga.. Haha nothing to see there but his house. Best thing to come out of Ga for awhile is him hehe :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

    Wow that's great he sent a letter, how encouraging. I was so scared when I saw this post in the general news forum it said Former President Jimmy Carter... And I went oh no please hope he's not passed on, whew not that it would affect my life in anyway but still...

    I've been to his house as well! He apparently teaches Sunday school there at the local church :slight_smile:. My dad met him when he won the Nobel Peace Prize in Oslo, Norway back in 2002. Apparently a very interesting, classy, and nice fellow :slight_smile:.
