    BBC News - Nick Griffin expelled by BNP

    I think probably the most shocking part of this story was the fact the BNP actually have their own "conduct committee"! :lol:

    Anyway, from what I see the good news of this piece is the BNP will now essentially fall into obscurity. As terrible as Nick Griffin is, he certainly gained them a lot of media attention (for all the wrong reasons), and rather than "destabilising" it (as their *sniggers*conduct committee*sniggers* suggest) he probably cemented their nasty party manifesto in the minds of the public. A true figurehead, really got the message out there! :eusa_clap

    Bad news is with the BNP beginning to fall apart that inevitably means more votes to UKIP (the party that actually have a chance of gaining prominence).

    The BNP faded into obscurity a long time ago - I guess the rise of UKIP isn't good either but they're more like BNP lite - less outwardly racist in any case. You'd certainly never see the BNP polling so highly like UKIP.

    The National Front were probably worse than the BNP - explicitly white-only with links to neo-Nazis. Truly vile.
