My jaw dropped when I read this. I can't fathom him doing that, but people aren't their characters.

It also disturbs me that he worked around children in all of his shows!

I think there's more to this having been posted than I realized now.....

 

I am just dumbfounded by this.. I loved 7th heaven, still have DVDs and downloaded episodes on iTunes as well.. I never would have though it was possible.. But you just never know what people are capable of and playing a good character on tv doesn't mean they are that person in real life. I am so astounded and just shocked.

I'm not suggesting it's not possible. I just don't think it's necessarily appropriate to bring up suicide in this context.

It is so special to us and now this! I want so bad for it to be a mistake but shit.. not much hope here. So fucking sad.

However, I find his wife equally disgusting. From my understanding of reading the article, she knew about this some time prior. She did nothing. Instead, she mentioned it to her lawyer, and then her lawyer suggested that she bring it up in their joint therapy session. She did and it was there that she secretly recorded his confession--during a fucking therapy session. She did this, not to help his victims, but to aid her in her divorce against him.

Such a disgusting and self-serving person. This is like the equivalent of faking an addiction, and going to AA because you know a political figure is there. Then once there in AA you secretly record the meeting where the politician reveals their personal struggles with addiction, and then you publish it to use against them. It is such a scummy move that it makes the person who does it seem even worse than the person they are trying to trash.

The only upside here is that he (hopefully) will not be able to harm any more children.

 

I do agree with that, I don't in anyway condom what he has done if it is found to be true, however I think his wife has a lot to answer for as well, she also says she didn't leak it to the media, but I have big doubts about that as well. She seems very vindictive and if she is wanting to portray herself as a victim, she is not doing a good job at it.

I just hope that no matter what happens, no matter what way it goes, that everyone is able to move on from it and accept whatever decision comes from it and that his victims can move forward and move on with their lives.

It is also very sad that this news has overshadowed another 7th heaven cast member who died suddenly in her sleep from natural causes, so lets all have a moment for Sarah Goldberg (stage name Sarah Danielle Maddison) who played Sarah Glass Camden, Matt's wife.
