LGBT News Transgender woman buried as man after sudden death.

Usually, I think that funerals, burial, etc. are there for the benefit of the loved ones of the deceased, not the deceased themselves. However, this is just too disrespectful and awful. I saw the article earlier and it really depressed me.

 

Disgusting.

I think there should be a separate remembrance open to the supportive public. Obviously, we could not have access to the body, but a large photo of how SHE wanted to be remembered could be used in its place.

Wow, that is just...horrible; all of it. All she went through to be herself and it's like everything was reverted...as if none of it happened...as if she never existed.

 

Nobody has respect for trans people anymore, living or dead.

 

That seriously makes me sick. How disrespectful and insulting! I hope that, despite her funeral being an insult to her self, Jennifer has found peace.

Just when I was feeling suicidal enough today thanks to dysphoria. Good to know I'd probably be put into the casket as a woman because my trans brethren and myself don't have rights.

 

Damn, that's pretty fucking sad. Funerals are meant to remember and honor the person who died, and the fact that they couldn't even get her gender right means that her funeral wasn't much of a funeral. I just hope she's at peace now.

I'm not surprised to hear a story like this, but this still makes me pissed. Jennifer, much like any deceased person, should be presented as they want to be seen and not be desecrated by presenting her as a man. Ugh! They couldn't even get her obituary right!

I am absolutely heartbroken and disgusted that this woman's identity has been denied and erased. It's like she was given someone else's funeral and obituary. Scratch that, she WAS given someone else's funeral and obituary. I want to find the people responsible for this shit and rearrange their teeth. I can't begin to express just how inhumane I find this bullshit. Urgh!!

I read about this earlier and it pissed me off. I can't believe her family would do this to her after death, especially since she openly identified as a woman. Her parents should be ashamed of themselves because I have zero respect for them.
