    lol, you'd think they'd be shocked to find a penis on any kid's doll. I remember looking down both barbie and ken's pants when I was little and all I got was nondescript underwear practically grafted into their bodies.

    Looks like someone forgot to clean up the plastic parts they pulled out of the mold. All molded parts have spots like that, that's how they are filled. Normally that stem is just filed off. Interestingly, it appears they make the doll's body upside down. (the fill hole will be at the top of the mold for obvious reasons)

    Someone needs to get to Argentina quick and teach them some lessons in human anatomy. That is not where a penis is located, and neither does a penis look like that. This is clearly a manufacturer defect.

    What is offensive about the doll is the reaction to the manufacturer defect. It was turned into an opportunity to engage in trans* body shaming.

    ...as if a doll that was created to show support for trans* kids would have visible genitalia. That would be a horrible idea.

    And looking at that doll it seemed like it was a manufacturing defect rather than intentional.

    Well, it was a defect, a remnant from the injection process that the manufacturer didn't properly remove. It wasn't a penis. People just think it is, or want to think it is, to make news.

    However, to your question: Why not? We have baby dolls that has a little penis like the one mentioned a few posts earlier. And any kid that has baby brother/sister they have to take care off has seen full on genitalias. The thing is, only adults see genitalias and think instantly of sex. Kids see them and think it as part of a body. Unless putting in a suggestive context, they wouldn't even make the connection.

    A few people
    Albert Einstein famously quipped, "Only two things are infinite, the Universe, and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the Universe". The fact that what is essentially a 'storm in a teacup' has sent 'shock waves' around the world, would seem to validate his view.

    Children are really not to be underestimated. Their lack of experience with bullshit means they don't invent any where there is none. Some of us would be improved by being more like them. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:
