House passes bill to defund Obama

I think this is one of the most divisive inactive congresses in the history of the United States. Thank you America for voting for this insanity.

This is completely pointless. The USCIS (United States Citizenship and Immigration Services) is funded entirely on fees it takes in from applicants for its services.

Now this shows you that Republicans have learned absolutely nothing from 2012 and about their demographic problem. Hispanic voters are continuing to identify more and more with the Democratic Party, and immigration is the GOP's golden chance to start winning over Hispanic voters. But, as usual, they have to continue alienating every single demographic other than White, Christian, heterosexual male voters.

The point is, "Deport everyone" doesn't work as an immigration policy in the real world, and it's political suicide among minority voters that Republicans have to get if they're ever going to start winning national elections any time soon.

Hopefully the 114th Congress makes the American people realize just how batshit crazy the Republican Party is. This is probably the only good thing that may have come from last year's election.

The GOP will have to change in order to be viable. Not now, but in a few decades' time the Hispanic vote could be strong enough to stop them ever taking power again.

If they can rebrand themselves to not appear anti-immigration, and maybe a little less protestant, they'd own the Hispanic vote and shut out the Dems for a generation or more.

    Just an opinion.

This kind of stuff all but guarantees that Democrats will win big in 2016.
