Federal judge rules Michigan must recognize same sex marriage performed while legal in state - WXYZ.com

A federal judge ruled today that the state of Michigan must recognize the marriages of over 300 gay couples that legally wed during the 24 hours that gay marriage was legal in March of 2014. Right-wing bigot Attorney General Bill Schuette (R-Uranus) had sued to have the marriages annulled, since a federal appeals court upheld Michigan's gay marriage ban. Tomorrow, the Supreme Court will confer on whether to take DeBoer V. Snyder, which originally struck down Michigan's ban on same-sex marriage. (More here) Schuette released this statement today:

We are reviewing Judge Goldsmith’s decision but as I have said repeatedly, the sooner the United States Supreme Court makes a decision on this issue the better it will be for Michigan and America.
