Wow. Newsworthy. Technically the bible says that a an engaged vigin should be killed if she is raped and I don't see them complaining about virgin engaged rape victims.

If people actually followed the bible word for word, the world would be a pretty scary place.

 

Hey no fair using Leviticus chapter 22 on them. That's the only damn chapter of the bible that they can quote to oppose gay marrage.

Interestingly enough, it actually says that if she is raped in the country side it is okay and she should be stoned if she was raped in the city because she should have screamed louder! How messed up is that? I guess they assume that if she didn't scream loud enough that it got someone's attention it meant that she actually wanted it?


On another note: anyone find it amusing that this is coming from a military chaplain? He's perfectly fine with them ignoring one of the Ten Commandments (Thou shall not kill), but he has a problem with people who ignore one vague passage?

I have nightmares about a world like that. But really, these are the same people who equate homosexuality with incest, beastiality, and devil worship.
