UGH!! IM SO PISSED! The latest polls showed that Yes on 8 is ahead with 54%. But it's only 22% of the precincts. So hopefully the remaining 78% of them all have "NO" ballots. gahh!! if you'd like to keep track of how the prop is doing, go to http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/results/ballot.measures/ and look under california. hope it doesnt pass!

I logged in one minute after this thread was made and I've been refreshing that link ever since. (Sigh)

My anxieties are gonna kill me.

i already act depressed in school, but if i didnt, i would if prop 8 passes. the worst part would be that only 2 people might understand why because i am out to them but they might not know about prop 8.

Still very close. We might tie but we've went from 44% to 48% that is really good. But we might lose this which is indeed sad.

O.O You know how many people will get depressed if this succeeds? I could cause a lot of havoc, and those against it have no idea what misery they are causing... Well, ok some do and vote yes on purpose. If it passes, I might just spiral deep into depression

Looking at the current trends in voting so far it seems that most votes are coming from those who are in the older age group. One thing to consider is that although it may take a while, the current people in this age group will decrease as they start dying due to age or whatever. As the younger age group becomes older they will hopefully pass on opinions to their children and create a new and improved set of individuals who are also open minded. The longer we wait the more support we get, and it will take a while longer before the people still living in the past die off and the younger age group switch groups and (hopefully) carry on the belief that we deserve equal rights. If that happens then we will carry on growing and become the majority, no matter how hard religion tries.

What happens to the couples who already married if Prop 8 passes?
