LGBT News Christian school forces gay student to leave

Yet another reason for me to be glad I never went to private schools. This is also another reason why if ENDA is ever passed nationally, it's important that there are NO amendments allowing for religious objections.

Why can't we just get along? This world we live in is small and short why not make the best of it?

 

That video is so touching. I used to go to a Christian school. I hated it. And that was before I even figured out I was bi. I am SO glad I don't go to a Christian school anymore.

 

Austin Wallis' coming out video was one of the first LGBT you tubers that I watched. It's still hard to believe that making a few videos could lead to this. If only the world wasn't full of assholes...

 

I hate to say it but "this could have been me". Back then in my Christian high school, nobody could come out. All things being equal and with the way society is now, it's very likely I would have wanted to come out in this day and age in h.s.

 

I went to a private school - I know what can happen. Obviously, no one should ever be mistreated.

However - devil's advocate - this is a private school. It's a whole new ball game. More than likely, he signed a contract to be there. If the school found he was doing something they didn't like - they have the right to say "bye!" There's a college near me that literally has a conduct contract so long, the Mississippi got jealous.

Again, I don't want people jumping on me. I don't think he deserved this - I'm just saying that I think it's a sticky situation.

 

So much for "Forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us." Even if it isn't a trespass -.-

 

Maybe we should have some private secular LGBT-friendly schools.

This is so sad why can't people just accept that people are gay and it is nature. First of all this school is going against what Christians teach. Like who benefits from a gay student being expelled by the school, no one does. Why can they not see, why must they be blind, they are blind to man and womankind.

 

Actually the only part in the bible where i ever found something against homosexuality also said that women have to bring sacrifices after their period....and upholding one thing but letting another slip is simply stupid:dry:

 

I mean Christianity does not follow the 613 Levitical laws to begin with, so just where are they getting thee teachings from?

When my brothers and sisters mix Christian teaching they are putting new wine into old wineskins.
