LGBT News Doctor refuses treatment of same-sex couple's baby

....That is so disgusting. It's sad that this is still going on in this day and age.

I looked in the comments of the article and a link to a FB Page for the Pediatrics was linked.
A lot of people are leaving 1 star reviews expressing their feelings towards what happened.

 

Doctors take an oath never to refuse or purposefully mess up a treatment on a patient. That goes for every patient.

She should be stripped of her license to practice medicine.

These laws are absolutely disgusting. Delusional fairy tales should not be grounds for discrimination. EVER. In Canada, this doctor would lose their job, and rightly so.

Just imagine if this doctor had said your mother is lefthanded, Muslim, speaks Swahili, is wearing red shoes, is a woman.... all of these things would be completely absurd reasons to not treat an infant. But because the mother is gay it's allowed. This doctor is incredibly weak in character. Despicable.

If I did have a partner...If she refused to see me or my partner, I would understand and wouldn't give two shits about it. But refusing to see and treat a baby of a same sex couple? That's just cruel and twisted. Whatever happened to "Love (help) thy neighbor?" She is shining example of the Christian faith (sarcasm). It's a baby, not the demon spawn!

 

I have no words for that. That woman is a monster. She needs to be fired because apparently she can't do her job if she refuses to. If I was a doctor I would never do that. I don't care if the parents are rapists and murderers. You just don't do that to a fucking baby.

 

This is absolutely ridiculous. I mean this is bad that child needs a doctor who can treat them. The doctor took an oath and now they are adding conditions about who they can treat. When did they let their morals take control. I thought the patient came first.

Am I the only one to feel sorry for the doctor?

It seems like she is in a serious conflict between her duty as a doctor and her faith. She cannot, in good will, treat the baby as she should have due to her fait, and she afraid she may do more harm than good, so she refer them to another doctor who may treat them better than she could.
She is trying to reconcile her faith and her life. She may come out of this with a renew faith and may change her ways, and may be a valuable ally. That is, if we open our arms and see what her side of the story is.

 

If she lets her faith get in the way of whether she can treat patients, then she shouldn't have chosen that career. So no, I don't feel sorry for her.

Also, she didn't refer them to another doctor. She left them to find another doctor themselves.

 

Not that I would ever defend this monster's actions, but she did refer them to another doctor at the office if you read the Fox 2 article.

 

Oh right, I understand now. Yeah I did read it but l just looked at it again now.

Still though, I stand by my first statement. She should not have become a doctor.

 

This is incredibly disheartening, it goes against her oath to practice as a doctor. She should be ashamed.

This is a freaking CHILD. A then newborn baby. The most innocent and vulnerable of God's creatures (don't correct me if I'm wrong, I'm upset). Why the fuck would someone refuse to do their fucking job and make sure a baby isn't horribly sick? Damn bitch. :***:

 

I believe karma will get the monster and crush her down making her helpless as the poor baby.
