So murder is ok, rape is ok, cannibalism is ok, torture is ok.. but a gay kiss is where you draw the line?! :bang::tantrum:

It's also worth mentioning that this show had a lesbian couple too, but there was no outrage there :eusa_doh:

I was actually kind of excited when they added these new characters :/ Why can't people just get over it? They need to grow up and realize that in the comics that the show is based on there is a homosexual relationship. We had to endure that God awful scene where Abraham and Rosita did the horizontal monster mash, you seriously can't compare something as bad as that to an innocent kiss between to men.

    Lmao @ monster mash.

Personally it was to be expected, quite a lot of TWD fan-base is made of ''tough guys'', which almost explains the idolization and immunity Darryl seemed to get. A year or so ago, I ended up in a forum which was uncomfortably homophobic, and they all happened to be die-hard TWD fans.

Hoping these two last, and that we see more smooching between them.

RE: Lesbian couple if you're referring to Tara, it was only mentioned in the TV series that she once had a girlfriend named Sam. Then again some men, even homophobic men, are superficial enough to enjoy lesbian sex for their own enjoyment, so that would explain the sudden whining.

    Of course they do...
After all, we are "shoving the gay down our throats", ironically enough, considering this should be a non-issue.

These characters were in the comics. It's not like it's anything new.

Wait wait wait, there was a lesbian couple on Walking Dead? When? Was this in one of the new season? Cause I haven't watched that show in about a year and a half...(got sooo sick of the melodrama)

Yeah Tara and Alisha, they both made their first appearances in season 4. Ironically, (Season 4 spoiler)
The little girl who eventually kills her little sister, killed Alisha.

Ohhh that explains it, don't think I've seen any of season 4 or maybe I have.... Idk! I do remember that little girl...
I seem to remember her getting taken out back and shot in a surprisingly hilarious 'Of Mice and Men' reference. Mainly funny because of how blatant the reference was, making the scene disturbingly absurd to me... I laughed so hard at that scene...

I actually had someone in my English class that said that he hopes that they both die in the next episode while he was sitting next to me. Awkward moment indeed!

Ugh, pshhh. Someone should gay kiss those homophobes so they can feel how good gay kiss is! Kidding aside, they (Eric and Aaron) actually are better couples than Maggie and Glenn, IMO. TWD had tackled bigger social issues and they reacted this MUCH over a gay kiss? Come on.

Suicide, rape and murder are just fine, but a gay kiss is too much? This fandom is weird sometimes. I love how the people who are saying "this isn't good for kids to see" or "they almost puked" have no objects to the character Tara who is a lesbian.

    Just saw a twitter comment:

"I don't discriminate against gay people. Plenty of my co-workers are gay. I just rather not have young children exposed to the BS on TV"

I think if you have young children watching TWD then a gay kiss is the last thing you are going to need to debrief them on! What world do these people live on?

    Child: "D-d-dadddy, what was that?"
Father: "Oh don't worry, its just a TV show, zombies aren't real!"
Child: "No, that was fine....w-what were those two men kissing each other for. D-daddy I'm scared!"

Also, I'm surprised there are so many hardcore-fundamentalist christian WD fans to be honest, I would have thought in their extreme overreactions to things they would claim the zombies mock the resurrection of Jesus?

I've just seen a really good point too about when interacial couples started to be used on TV and there was similar backlash.

Now funnily enough we have an interacial couple with Glenn and Maggie and to date there has not been a single uproar!

Just goes to show how far behind gay acceptance is, but at least gives us hope of where we can get to in the future.

I just love those people who say, "I don't discriminate against (blank) but..." Then proceed to discriminate against that group...

I am quite curious if any of this person's coworkers saw that comment. And what they did/said in response.

    Its so silly isn't it.

"I don't mind gay people, in fact I have plenty of gay friends. I just don't like to see them together, see them kiss, or have to be aware of them being gay. As long as I pretend they are straight its all good with me!"

I'm gonna assume the people making these comments aren't avid readers and probably didn't even know the show was based on a comic.

I doubt the producers will listen to the percentage of fools that complained.
