    More here

You think that they would get the idea that the battle is over... but I guess that they do not.

Oh, goody. Nobody's being lynched yet.

Seriously though, there's no surprise in this. Apparently state decisions trump feds. Which is directly against the constitution, but ha. Who cares, really? Unless those guns are being toyed with.

Well, I can't say I'm surprised. Those ignorant fools are just doing this as a last-ditch effort to stop marriage equality which, in case you haven't noticed, WILL be legal nationwide by this summer. This is inevitable.

    In my imagination.
I know marriage equality will not be a major issue soon, but what about non-discrimination, and banning conversion therapy? I hope my generation will fight with me to stop this, since by the time we're adults it'll still be an issue... Let's hope for the best!

They could actually all be found in contempt of federal court orders, if someone had the balls to prosecute them for it.

I know what I would do if I were a clerk. I would issue these licenses anyway, and if I were to get fired, I would simply sue at the district court of appeals level.

This brother has the long view. We need to forget marriage equality is not the only fight. After that, we have to not get fired. We also need transition care. And we need children not to be abused by churches or their own parents.

This is precisely why judges (and prosecutors for that matter) should never be elected. How Roy Moore passed his bar exam is a mystery to me. The ruling is completely useless, as federal law trumps state law, and it won't be long before another federal court puts them back in their place.

He probably passed school of law and his bar exam by doing what I did in my women's studies class: lie about what one really believes.

As a former resident of the state, it upsets me to see Alabama hasn't gotten the message yet. At this point there is no point in them fighting against same-sex marriage anymore. Like somebody said above, federal law trumps state law. Nice try Bama.
