LGBT News US Supreme Court schedules same-sex marriage case - April 28th

    This isn't really big news, but I thought it might be interesting to know that the Supreme Court has released the schedule. Interesting enough, they are giving this case 2 and a half hours time. Cases are usually shorter.

    This is amazing :slight_smile: It is nice that there will audio, that is unheard if with the Supreme Court.

    Actually, they release audio for most of their hearings, I think. There was audio for the cases of Hollingsworth v Perry and the DOMA challenges and others that I've heard. What would truly be unprecedented is video or photos. What they do do for important cases is release the audio quickly (i.e. the day of the actual hearing).

    That said, I can't wait for this case to be heard.

    This entire story gives me chills. Hopefully same-sex marriage is deemed legal.

    Actually, April 28th is only when they hear the case. They make the ruling in late June.

    There's nothing out of the ordinary. They always wait until June to make a final decision.
