The article can be found here.

Just imagine what would have happened had they gotten him into Turkey.

    What the [undecipherable obscenities]?!

I don't get why people going to such length toward their own child. I mean, how did that process go through their mind? "If you don't stop being gay I will beat/burn/whip/cut/drown/kill the gay out of you?"
How can one even justify doing such things to their children for anything, not even mentioning being gay?

I think I'm more shocked with the punishment... just a £960 fine for doing that? It's child abuse, assault and homophobic discrimination and all they do is fine them? This is disgusting on both parts!

Europe is known for its light punishments, but it sounds like they're just fining them for trying to force him into marriage. I don't think they're even being punished for the abuse.

Can this world get any worse? Is respect and tolerance really that hard to practice and preache? Can't people just let (God) be the judge or leave people alone and allow them to live their own lives in peace with further judgement. Isn't that what we all want and please stop these inhumane actions. What a curse to humanity.

Also, £960 fine? Seriously! What about all the other crimes they have committed, or did the religious freedom bill cover that?

    Holy fuck!!!!

Water has a really high specific heat! If you pour a lot of boiling water on someone, it can actually kill them really quickly.

There should be no mercy for the ones that commit these crimes.

"But he didn't die, so its not so bad right?" In general, People aren't usually punished for what could have easily happened. It is like that with a lot of things. The punishment is far greater if someone gets hurt or killed then if they don't, even if what the person did was actually no different. To me, that is ridiculous. Things like this should be stopped before people get killed. Not after.

Maybe he would have managed to scape again, but this remind me way too much of Honor killing of Hatun Sürücü - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Kids feel divided between two cultures, and even if they manage to get away from the family, they are still at risk of getting killed. Shoot by your own brothers, 3 times at the back of the head... Just because you dare to live your own life. She wasn't even LGBT, she just wanted to live like a german...

It's no easy here... The social services do their job, but when it comes to foreigners it gets complicated... Also victims are usually not precisely happy about going against their own families, even if the danger is real. They are doomed to feel like traitors, regardless of what they do, and most of them don't feel fully acepted by neither culture. They live on a strange place in terms of personal identity.

I'm not blaming any religion here, I blame treating kids like objects. Forced or coerced marriages are plain criminal, and this should be prosecuted.

It's truly sad indeed that this can happen in the Germany of today. I shouldn't be pointing fingers at the religious causes of this but it's very hard not to.

I would always find it interesting as a punishment to do what a person did to their victim to themselves... It'd presumably lower murder rates and abuse rates...
