So apparently yes prop 102 (Arizona's prop 8) had some extra 2 million dollars and so, from what I read they're proposing a Family Vacation Protection Act.

    What?

After reading some other stuff on that site I am very confident that site is a farce.

Not to mention such a law would violate the 1st amendment and the equal protection clause of the 14th amendment to the US Constitution.

--Edit Oops misread the article. It was saying this would be a federal law. So while the equal protection clause would not apply, I would still argue that it violated the spirit of the 14th amendment.

Ok reading some more the 14th amendment would likely not apply. However this would violate the Due Process clause of the 5th amendment. Courts have interpreted the Due Process clause to contain a equal protection element. It is clear such a law would violate equal protect as the bias would not be reasonably related to government interests. So my spidey sense sense was right, it just pointed to the wrong amendment.

Off to read more case law. I am suck a geek.

Surely no serious website would use Fred Phelps as its mascot. Serious deception is underfoot.
