General News Zayn Malik has taken a second direction

I've never extensively listened to their music. I tried getting into them because, I was hoping that they would have good music like the hey days of the 90's and 00's boy bands. I was very disappointed.

I don't follow their lives but, I have seen headlines alleging that Zayne had some drug issues. I don't know if this is the truth or not. If it is, he may have felt that the lifestyle of being in a successful group lead to too many temptions. Or, maybe their rapid fans were scaring him. (They would scare me too!) I do wish him the best of luck on this new path that he is taking.

Hahaha, my sister used to be a Directioneer, but has since moved on. Anyway, I texted her at school, courtesy of Buzzfeed: Zayn has left 1D. Zayn it isn't so :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:.

 

My girlfriend was really upset about this. I think he should become a one man act called the second direction (pun intended)

 

Really saddened by this. I have tickets to go see them on 9/3/15 and it just won't be the same. I'm deeply saddened by saying this, but it's the the start of the end of one direction. ;(

 

Lots of Filipino fans are disappointed when he didnt came in their concert here.

 

I look forward to seeing him on various ITV light entertainment game shows and I'm A Celebrity/Big Brother in the near future.

 

They're my favorite band and Zayn is (was) my favorite member. Bummer.

 

This really upset me. I love Zayn and wish he was still in the band. I support his decision abd understand why he left. He along with the other boys will alwaye have a spot in my heart.

 

Is Justin Beaver still in the band?

 

Thank goodness, I never really liked Zayn Malik or any of the others.

Just over a year ago, I was counseling a youngish (19?) gay guy on another website. He was depressed because, as he put it, "I won't ever achieve what I want in life." I asked him what it is he actually wanted from life, and he finally admitted that his one goal in life was to become Zayn's boyfriend. He said he knew he'd be able to meet him when he came to town, since he knew people who worked in the entertainment business, but he didn't think he should bother since "nothing was going to ever happen because of it."

I told him "Well, there ARE obstacles to that goal. You don't know if he's even gay or bi, and even if he was, you don't know if he'd be interested in you. If he told you he wasn't interested, could you accept that?" He thought about it awhile, then said "Well, I'd be crushed, but yeah, I guess I could accept that." So I said "Then I don't see any reason you shouldn't go for it. Of course, chances are really heavily against you, but there's no reason to not at least give it a shot."

Then, last week, I read about Zayn leaving the band. And my first thought was "Carl, you son of a bitch, you did it!"

Well, I really did advise a young guy to go ahead and make his move on Zayn. But no, I have no idea whether him leaving the group has anything to do wth his sexuality, and even if it did, I have no idea if Carl had anything to do with it. (I haven't spoken to Carl in months.) But it makes me happy to think that perhaps he did.

Their music is passable, I sometimes get their songs in my automatic youtube music playlist. It's not very personal, like the music of some other pop musicians, but it's okay. The rabid fans, on the hand, are not. They are literally insane.
