OK, I don't know who this guy is, so I looked him up on Wikipedia, but I'm still not really sure why he's so famous...can anyone fill me in? I mean, he doesn't seem to have much talent or a very impressive resume, so why is he this kind of 'star'? Is he one of those Duck Dynesty guys, or a reject from ZZ Top?

Edit: Oh, he is one of those Duck guys, after all. I think I had him confused with another similar looking 'star'.

Yep. Having to "come out" as atheist is a real thing in the South. I've had to do it. I haven't recieved any discrimination on that part, weirdly enough.

Did you know that in several states, it's illegal for atheists to hold public office? It's a bunch of bullshit, but it's there.

Whenever someone thinks you're an actual, physical devil because of your nonbelief (as what happened to my friend), we need to change people's minds about atheist from the ground up. We need to show we can be good without God.
