    I think it is great news, and not a lot of surprise considering shibuya is one of the ward with a lot of fringe group frequent there, including LGBT+. Extending a hand out to them is a good move.

    That said, Japan as a whole still has it own share of problems on the LGBT+ frontier. The country is still very conservative culturally (but that is changing) and it is still running by old men who has different interests than young people. It will be a lot of work before we see larger change. Perhaps a decade, or perhaps more.

    Either way, hoping for the best.
