    He's in: Marco Rubio's presidential challenge - CNN.com

The anti gay politician claims he is a agent of change and pro gay Hilary Clinton is old news. Well guess what Rubio your old news and your a agent of bullshit and you don't stand a chance of being our president. Glad he is giving senate seat at a long shot presidential run. Having no political job and Hillary as president is the best thing that will happen to him.

He can be a bit worrisome in the general election though as he may be able to win both Florida and the Latino vote

I agree. But hopefully people don't vote for them just because based on their shared latino heritage. It would just as bad as when some black people just voted for Obama cause he is black. Voting based on ethnic background is very irrational. It is the issues that should matter.

I think he'll be crushed like a squirming little bug by Jeb Bush's $$$$$. Florida's not big enough for both of them.

Plus, he's pretty much a flip-flopping political lightweight. I can't see where the big appeal is, aside from the Latino angle, and even then, I'm not sure he's very appealing to Latinos, given his walking back his openness to immigration reform.

He also claims that his parents, "came to America following Fidel Castro's takeover." This would have been during/after 1959, whereas they arrived in 1956. He's hemmed and hawed about this since then, but according to his official Senate Biography, that's his official claim.

    He looks phony.

Ha! I forgot about that. Would be great to see a Democrat take his lost senate seat.

The type of president the USA needs is someone who:
-supports gay marriage and LGBT+ rights
-does not publically display their religious beliefs
-tries to keep the nation secular
-evens out what tax money gets spent
I do really like Barrack Obama I just wish that he'd be a little more pro-active
Please respect my political opinion but don't hesitate to oppose my views
    Best Wishes

That was exactly my thoughts. His exit from the senate made the race more competition and looking at the republican nomination polling Rubio could be without a job in January. But Rubio could also start a write in campaign but it is a long shot. The same kind of thing is happening in Kentucky where Rand Paul cannot be on the ballot twice and that problem may get Kentucky a democratic senator if all possible.

If you honestly look at the Florida senate results in 2010 the only reason Rubio won was because Charlie Crist choose to run as a Independent along with a democrat largely splitting the vote in three ways causing Rubio to win. I like Charlie Crist but gosh did he screw up big time that year.

He had a dig at the leaders of yesterday during his speech, yet his views seem to have been taken straight from yesterday's leaders. Maybe he gets on the ticket as a VP candidate, but I can't see him getting the nod.

I will admit his views are despicable but he is talented speaker and Clinton will need to really prepare for that just in case. Based on the polling though he is way behind many of his republican challengers and not doing very well with voters. He might end up with no political job in 2017.

I'd laugh so hard if in one of the debates he takes a drink of water mid speech like he did the SOTU Response a few years ago.

Aside from LGBT issues I think he's great. Ted Cruz or Ben Carson are top two though aside from LGBT issues

No, he won't win the Latino vote overall, maybe Florida's? But I doubt it. He's of Cuban descent, so he isn't very relatable with other Latinos (mainly Mexicans). Also, the younger Cuban-Americans (like myself) are not Republican. My family is Cuban and we would never vote for him. He's a bigot and disgusting. Although it would be great to have someone of Cuban descent as President, it won't be him, which is a great thing.

Omg yes! I thought he said he came in 1958, not 56, but regardless it's still before Fidel Castro took power! It made me angry, because my family actually left after the Revolution, and he used this to get attention and support.
