    There they go again:

Michigan business owner refuses to serve gay people because you can’t put a car together with “all bolts and no nuts”

This brings up an interesting point: Even without anti-gay language being enshrined in so-called religious freedom bills, what is there to stop discrimination? As far as I know, most states don't have any laws that protect the rights of LBGT people, so that even without 'religious freedom' laws, I'd imagine things like this can keep happening, until some precedent is set. Some states do have laws regarding housing and employment, but what about other areas?

wasn't that the case in Indiana before the law? Funny thar it helped highlight that gap.

Silly man, it's not like we going to strip naked and force you to watch us have sex. I'm going to also ban all Christian bigots, because you bigots need to be cured of your bigotry. Off to the Bigot Chamber.

Funny enough is that the business that is associated with this man is telling him to not use their logo or name at all anymore. I'm just wondering when he'll proclaim that he's being persecuted, make his own GoFundMe page and get almost a million dollars worth, like the pizzeria place did. It's like the media is deliberately seeking these people out and fanning the flame.

His behavior of how he would put the vehicle back together is very Christian, isn't it? I'd say he's a hypocrite. Is this a small town and one that is far from Detroit, for example?

It's on the other side of Michigan, closer to Grand Rapids.

I live in grand rapids and am huge into cars, and I've never heard of this shop. I also don't have a diesel bro truck, but I can do everything from oil changes to complete restorations all by myself. I feel the lgbt community isn't experiencing a huge loss losing this idiot.

He may want to be really careful since Cummins is actually super lgbt accepting and may be bothered by this.

The western Michigan area(specifically Grand Rapids and points west except Saugatuck) is very much anti-LGBT and the Calvinist mini Bible belt.

"You can't put a car together with all bolts and no nuts" is ironically the gayest sentence I've read all week.

I actually love seeing these kinds of stories because it helps people know which businesses to support and which to avoid. Every time this comes on the news, a non-bigoted salesperson gets more business. I mean, it's not like people are just going to give up driving because one place won't serve them.

Laws are important. When the Civil Rights Act of 1964 was passed, it didn't immediately change the large percentage of violent racists and haters. That took decades and is still in progress today, but the laws helped jumpstart the change. Justice delayed is justice denied.

I wouldn't want to spend my money at his establishment even if I needed the service.
And I'd rather know his attitude up front so I could avoid his business, than not know and support his business by doing business.
If this is his attitude, or any business owner for that matter, why would anyone want to do business with them?
It's a 2 way street. The sword cuts both ways. Etc Etc...
I prefer to know of those that hold this attitude so I can avoid them like the plague.

I suspect his business was not doing well in the first place, and he just needed some freebie advertisement.
And maybe he'll get some customers out of this, one or two, the kind that bounce checks and complain to the BBB about the quality of services offered.
In other words, is this any way to run an airline?
