I've read about the tangible benefits of crying, and the fact that some recognize its place in the human experience is welcome. I wish this would catch on more in the US and other places.

    >.> not that some of us need more reasons to do it, but for its expression to be more accepted would be nice.

It's theorised crying helps relive stress (I did a whole project on it at school) it's really quite interesting ^_^ That's why you shouldn't hesitate to cry if you're sad or frustrated because you can feel worse if you don't cry as it's a way of excreting hormones and chemicals that can be harmful to the body (this is still just theory but there have been many tests with similar recurrent results).

Neither am I (have always espoused, whether one cries or not, to actively help the situation if possible instead) but I could do with being closer to my emotions. Really the only thing stopping me personally is the social stigma.

Mary Lambert (famous for being featured in the song Same Love) is known to encourage crying at her live performances. I really don't know any other artist who does that.

Anyways, I think it would great if the social stigma was eliminated so that people don't feel the need to hide emotions. It's better to express emotions than keep them bottled up...

I can't cry. I mean there's times I want to, and I have a reason to, but the tears never make it out.

I'm a crier. I am a very emotional person, and can cry at the drop of a hat.

I would love it if crying were viewed as less shameful here (fking America). My only problem with it is the killer headaches I get after :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:.
