LGBT News Thanks, Captain Obvious; Gay/bi bullied even more at early age.

While this isn't entirely surprising, it doesn't really provide a meaningful hypothesis. Were they bullied because they gay or otherwise? I was bullied in primary school (grade K to 6) just because I was from America and sounded & looked different, I was really tall, I was taller than all the teachers by age 10.

 

I'm totally shocked.

Thank you, Captain Obvious, for alerting me to this silent dilemma. I shall never forget your heroic deeds.

Straight folks are so wild, I swear. It's like having a grandparent who just discovered social media.

 

I think it's kinda crazy that it's taken this long for people to even think about just how damaging bullying is to kids, and how long lasting that trauma can be. And, of course, adult violence towards children is still broadly accepted. Hopefully we will see that start to change too, although that's an uphill climb. A sizable majority love hitting their kids.

 

No kidding. News flash. I was bullied not that it was obvious that I was bi I just was. At a private Christian home school organization I can only imagine how it would have been if I was open.

 

There was a study. That means our experiences are now valid.

I've heard "anecdote is the singular of data" said sneeringly so many times that it's hard to remember it's completely true.
