Just a straightforward, simple discussion thread  as always, I expect and hope for respect and patience in different opinions and mature discussion, but you guys are usually excellent about that anyway.

I'm all for Bernie Sanders, simple as that  I could list the reasons why but I'll be here for a long time. What about you guys?

"America" is a common short-hand name for the United States of America.

OT: I would either want Hillary or Jeb. Jeb is the only sane Republican running.

I'm hoping that Hillary Clinton will end up in the white house.

I'm voting for Hilary, and I'm hoping she can constrain her hawkish nature. I am also hoping she is utterly ruthless when dealing with those who oppose her, and forces her agenda through Congress. I don't want Hillary to be the same type of doormat for Republicans that Obama has been.

Bernie Sanders definitely. I don't think he really has a chance, but oh well.

I'd like to add that the only people who complain about this are South Americans XD I'm almost certain that it's used to refer to the continents in your particular dialects/languages, but for English-speakers, it almost always refers to the country (everywhere, as far as I know). We have "the Americas" or "the New world" for the whole thing, for example.

I hate to say it but Obama jammed so much of his agenda in his first two years that he lost control of the house and few senate seats. I agree that Hillary should force a constructive agenda but you wanna be careful with how you approach things at first or you might not have a congress to work with. Of course it is not all Obama's fault a lot it had to with Sarah Palin going out there all of 2010 with her scare tactics and vile comments about everything. But I don't think jamming a agenda through all at once is always the best strategy.

But I am now all in with Hillary.

I'm voting for Bernie Sanders all the way! If he doesn't win the primary though I'd be happy with anyone except a conservative.

I'm begging everyone in America, please don't put in a conservative! :tears:

Ron Paul is the closest candidate that would fit my views. He's a bit dodgy about same-sex marriage, but he isn't as bad about it as others, because he believes if the people want it, they should have it.

Of course, he isn't running. This would be a good year for him to run, too, I think. He's such a sharp contrast from the bulk of Republicans, even though he isn't officially one.

I liked Dennis Kucinich for the Democrats.

Not American, but I can be there in spirit. I wish for a serious Pres to rule the world this time. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uCoIYWZ3HpU

srsly though, out of all of them (if there has to be one), Bernie Sanders seems like the most sane one.
