It's funny how the party that wants to "support" the troops seems to always manage to block bills that would help them. (sigh) Hopefully, this month the Supreme Court can extend marital benefits for same-sex couples to all 50 states.

Remember, these are some of the same people who hated DADT when it was first implemented. There are those who thought that LGBT people should not be allowed to serve in the military at all. As far as I'm concerned, they can kindly go #$&! themselves.

What can you do when people are dumb enough to vote for a republican senate.

Its just there little hissy fit tantrum knowing that after the US Supreme Court rules in favor of marriage equality, benefits will no longer be an issue. Moot, as it were.
Once the high court rules against their bigotry, the benefit flood gates will open wide in all US states.

Then, all they will have left is passing pissy little laws promoting their "religious freedoms".
Which, when challenged in the courts, will also prove to be a big fail for them.

    We have to expect this.
After all, its been some 50 years since LBJ passed civil rights, and here we are today 2015 and republican controlled states are still pulling this voter suppression crapola.
They never learn, a Zebra can't change its stripes, so just ignore them.
They are on the wrong side of history and the wrong side of changing tides.
They grow old, die away, and so much for their legacy.

Personally, the deeper the hole they dig for themselves, and the more panic stricken they become watching the other side win out, I find it amusing to watch the terror on their faces as they proclaim this is not the America they once knew.

    Take SS marriage.
Actually, SS marriage "is" now traditional marriage, and has been now for some time.
It is impossible for them to draw some invisible line as to what traditional marriage is or was.
How far back do they have to go to find their traditional marriage?
1950? 1890? AD? BC? Moses? Noah? Mitt Romney?
    Marriage equality "is" traditional marriage.
Anything before that was dysfunctional marriage.
Unless they mean dysfunctional marriage is to them traditional marriage?
They try and they try and for the bigots it just keeps getting worse.
The courts are against them. The public is against them. Even Ireland is now against them.
They'll cry fowl, they will become more afraid, they will buy more guns in fear of one another, and while they feel stuck in some episode of The Twilight Zone, the rest of the world will simply pass them by.

Sad, but not totally surprising :frowning2:
Though if the Supreme Court rules in favor of marriage equality this issue should be taken care of too.
