I'm always surprised by the creative ways people use the holocaust to make the most ridiculous comparisons.

How does this man still have a job? He needs to be impeached.

Whoever appointed him should be sacked, too. Both should end up before some sort of disciplinary action.

I wonder how judges with experience in genocide cases and who care about justice would feel about this. I also wonder how victims of genocide would react to this.

He lives in the very homophobic conservative state of Alabama nobody will try to impeach him sadly to say.

The sad and disturbing truth, if I am not mistaken, is that he was not appointed. He was actually removed from his office by federal courts previously, but in Alabama their state judges are elected. This means that people voted for him, and will likely continue to vote for him even if his drummed out a second time.

Well, after this statement; I sincerely hope that he is drummed out and never heard of again.

You don't bring up crap like the Holocaust in comparison to stuff; especially things like equality. Which is the OPPOSITE of what the Holocaust was.

But meh... People can be stupid.

I believe Aldrick is right. Although on the federal level judges are appointed and therefore free from democratic pressures like recall and reelection (as they ought to be, otherwise malicious majorities would trample the minority), on the state level, we don't have that philosophy. Montana Supreme Court justices are also elected.

He's gonna kick the bucket soon enough, let's just hope they don't appoint some younger incarnation.

Actually, he was removed from office by the Alabama Court of the Judiciary, which is an institution in the government of the state of Alabama, not federal. He was in violation of a court order from a federal judge on establishment clause grounds of violating the first amendment.

I could see this being replayed if he digs in on this.
