    I was pretty sure he was bisexual for a long time. Good for him for coming out.

    I've watched him since 2009. I was 9 years old then. LOL.... X_o

    I am not going to act as though I suddenly support him because I don't support people who consistently make ignorant comments regardless of orientation, but there are fewer open bisexuals on youtube than open homosexuals so I suppose this is worth something.

    I've thought he wasn't straight for a while. I thought he was gay but bi works too XD. I'm more surprised that I was right though. Maybe my gaydar is better than I thought :astonished:

    Shane was the first YouTuber I ever watched (along with Fred). I had a suspicion that he wasn't heterosexual, though I never thought much on it. I'm glad that he, and all these other YouTubers are feeling confident enough to come out to the public.

    Here's the hoping others follow suit! :slight_smile:

    I think it's clear from his video that Shane is bisexual, not gay- at least it certainly seems that way from the things that he's said in his video. I certainly respect that, and I hope that coming out like this helps with his own self-acceptance.

    I was actually fairly surprised, because he's always seemed quite confident about his sexuality in the past.

    First time I saw him I was sure he was gay. Then I got to know he had a girlfriend and ever since then I've kinda suspected he was bi.

    My YouTube experience with Shane​
    Having been a YouTube partner, back in 2007-2009, many of these YouTube celebrities are two-faced and will cut you down if you don't comply with them. Those who came first as partners, want those who follow to enforce a hierarchy, of which Shane Dawson was part of.

    While Mr. Dawson wasn't the worst in terms of bullying or threatening, he was one of the worst about guilt trips and accumulating attention. The few times I have talked directly to Shane, was shortly after I was approved for YouTube partnership. He sent me a message asking to do a collaboration video. I said no, not right now, and he went into a fit saying, if I wanted to make it I needed folks like him. Maybe later on. This wasn't acceptable to him.

    I had no idea who he was, other than seeing his videos pop up in the sidebar. He was so offended by this, he would swamp my account with bots and his fans, leading to my videos being removed due to such low ratings. He'd do this with others too.

    But what is most pathetic to me is, he'd hold contests where folks submitted THEIR ideas. He'd pick the best one, manufacture and sell it, without giving anything but a simple shout out to the winner. He has made a decent amount of money by doing this. I must admit, I have not kept up with him since 2010, so no idea if he has matured or stopped doing things like this

    Unless he's changed since then, I'm still going to think of him as a sensitive crybaby who can't stand being outside the spotlight.

    Good for him though.

    My cousin casually mentioned this video while we were skyping. He also added he had always thought he was gay.
