LGBT News Hidden Camera Show Attitude to Gays in Russia

I think it's just awful how LGBT people are treated in Russia. It wasn't always this was either. The more pro-LGBT the west becomes, the more homophobic Russia becomes. I'm very sure it will get to a point where they ban homosexuality altogether.

That is not right in any Country and will always live in The United States where we are free to be who we truly are

It's horrible to see how lgbtq people are treated. I'm so glad none of the lgbtq people in my area are treated this way.

 

Not surprised. It is russia. Doesn't mean I am not appalled by this kind of stuff though.

Tbh this is one of the advantedges of communism.
Once again im pretty sure the caribean and a lot of east asia as well as some parts of the south would be awful places to be gay but there are friends so its helpful to ignore that. People kill the gays in jamacia from what i hear.

I am seriously shocked.. I kinda can't really understand how people can be THAT ignorant and homophobic..
I mean.. we're all human and everyone is equal. My empathy really ends there. I can't get how people can't understand that.

now that reminds me how glad I am that I live in a country where there are not many homophobes. Of course there still are some but I believe such people are in every country.. and it seems like especially in Russia.

 

This is depressing and rage inducing all at once.

I can't believe that it's 20-fucking-15 and people are still acting like this is the the damn dark ages. Yeah, I'm lucky to be in a country that is turning itself around, but I'm losing hope that things will get better for the rest of the world seeing how people fly off the handle and become violent over two people holding hands.

Sending good vibes to anyone that's in Russia. Be careful, okay?

 

I saw a whole documentary about this on CBC (Canada), and it was truly frightening. There is something very wrong in the mindset of Russians which is difficult for us to grasp. The majority praise Putin, support his taking over other countries and many like the way he treats gays. Their self-perception is very positive... which is almost opposite of how the rest of the world perceives them.

There was hope for a better Russia when the Berlin Wall came down, but that hope seems to be quickly evaporating. It's not a free country by any means and poverty is rampant.

I have to wonder just how brainwashed they are to think their actions are just.
I mean, south USA can be pretty darn bad, but this is unforgiving.

And to think there are places even worse is horrifying.

 

Notice how there were no women (if not very few-didn't notice any) that discriminated them. That is inexcusable behavior. Disagreeing is okay, threatening and treating them differently because of who gay people are is not.

 

I was just going to say the no women in the vid discriminating part! I saw this vid yesterday.. Disgusting but thanks for sharing. Russia still has a long way to go. When I saw the little children running around in it I prayed that they would not turn out homophobic.

 

Can't believe they were brave enough to do this. I wouldn't be brave enough to do this in the American south; I sure as hell wouldn't do this in Russia.

I'm surpised that they made it through with no blood loss or black eyes.

I'm actually surprised at how many people didn't notice/care. This shows that even though homophobia is rampant in Russia, still a lot of people seem indifferent to gay people.

Still, the confrontation at the end was just awful, I would never attempt that, especially with my small frame.
