    This is perhaps one of the most outrageous things I've seen this year, dealers can vary the interest rate at will and it's been found out that ethnic minorities have been systematically targeted to be charged a higher rate for no reason.

    This is definitely not just native to the auto industry. I have heard of this when it comes to various services that negotiate price (Plumbing, repairs, etc).

    It is one thing to travel to a foreign land and have shopkeepers raises prices on tourists because of the belief that the average person from the U.S./U.K./Canada could afford more, which is generally true given the fact that they are taking international vacation. However, to target social groups who are statistically the most likely to be struggling financially is a special level of malice.
