    I just don't understand why the article matters in the first place (the article itself, the motivations behind publishing it are still in question).

    Good start, I think, to the error made in publishing it. Of course it won't be a significant gesture in any way regarding the article itself, but perhaps it will signal a change in policy, and if so, I will look forward to that.

    It's good that they released that statement.
