Damn, I was like "please don't be in my city" just randomly having the feeling it was, and sure enough, Fresno, what a coincidence lol.

However, I don't like this from the article:

"Misgendering transgender victims and linking them to sex work is commonplace in cases like these across the country, even when there is no evidence that sex work is linked to the crime. Anti-violence advocates say this alienates people who may know the victim and could provide information to help find the assailant."

.....because it happened on a street with hookers at 4:58 AM lol. Not saying she was, but its possible.

United States... damn it. I don't even have the energy.

    I'm just sick of it.
People in this country seem to think it's a-ok to go out and slaughter someone who has never done anything to them.
What is this, the Crusades? There is no excuse. :bang:

    (Emphasis mine)

I don't feel that comments like these are helpful. There are a whole heck of a lot of us who have our "shit together" and abhor these murders and the overall violence shown towards trans people. These are heinous crimes and I hope that the perpetrators are brought to justice.

But please, do not ask for us cis people to get our shit together, as if we are all one monolithic group. I for one do not like being grouped in with murderers.

I see. I'm sorry if I offended anyone, I really am. I'm cis myself, I didn't really think much about it when I wrote it. I'm just really tired of trans people getting killed, and then everyone forgetting and not caring.

Hey, I get the frustration. Articles like this are frustrating, disheartening, sad - and hopefully in the future, we'll see a lot less of them. In the meantime, hopefully at least some of these cases can be solved, the killers caught, and the families brought some closure.

Well, it said she was 66 years old, I haven't heard much about elderly hookers lol.
Seriously though, it's just really disheartening to see another murder right after the shock from the last :frowning2:

This is truly awful and I send my prayers to their family.

That said, I've gotten so used to all these murders whether it's black-on-white crime, police brutality, transgendered murders and so on that I've just gotten used to it.

It happens SO often that every time I read something about it I'm just like "meh...". I don't mean to be cold-hearted but at first it was really shocking and it's like "Oh my God!!" now I barely get a response out of it.

That siad, I do wish that murders against ANYONE would just stop but we all know that ain't happenin' unfortunately.

I think I found this more depressing than the article as a whole:

"At least three people approached Haggard on the ground, but they, too, left without offering assistance or calling 911."

I hope this is characteristic of The 'No, but I know it isn't. This is the lack of empathy and communication in modern society.

Another one. And close to home to boot. Sad to hear. Just might be keeping eye out for Saturns on road...
