This needs to stop, now. Best of wishes to her family and friends. Rest in peace.

As expected from America. I swear, they are the most violent and ignorant of the "developed" countries.

Of course, no matter what atrocities occur, it's not like the US government is going to do anything about it. They're just going to sit back and let them suffer because they just want to please the majority and get more votes.

Can't wait to hop the border and escape to Canada...

It's so sad to see more and more of these stories popping up. I hope that someday we live in a world where we do not have to worry about the lives of people in the community being taken by discriminatory violence.

It is horrible how often these crimes happens, but it is actually a good thing that these crimes get reported more frequently now. People won't even realize what we have to deal with if they do not see the reality of what we have to suffer through.

Kira of Georgia... I encourage you to come to Canada. It is a lot less violent,
people accept differences readily for the most part, and we couldn't care less
what your orientation is. There was a shooting in Toronto recently, and people
here are very worried, saying, We have to get tougher gun laws!

As for the weather, it all depends where in Canada you live. Our summers are really
quite hot. (In the high 80's and low 90's F and 32-34 C where I am this week, so most of us have A\C in our cars and central air or A/C units in our homes.)

As for our politics, we don't stay stuck on one party all our lives. Looks like we might even vote in a left-leaning government after 8 or is it 9 yrs of Conservative govt. There isn't the Democrat vs. Republican hatred you have there. Even Christians here do not necessarily vote Conservative (Conservative in Canada is not what conservative is in the US btw). At least that's how I see it.

I'm so sorry the transgender community is still under attack. We need to speak up for them any chance we get. They need more protection.
